Sewing S'cool....but on Saturday
Service Description
Saturday Sew-mester is a 3-week hands-on sewing series for ages 14+ designed for students who are ready to build their sewing skills through fun, practical projects. Whether you're brand new to sewing or ready to challenge yourself with more advanced techniques, you'll choose a project based on your current skill level and work on it throughout the series with guidance from Lynn. Start with a decorative pillow, move into simple garments, or challenge yourself with projects like a peplum top, athleisure set or commercial sewing pattern. Saturdays | 1:30–3:00 PM 3-Week Series | Ages 14+ Only 10 students per Sew-mester Sewing machines, basic sewing tools, and black and white thread are provided. Students provide fabric and project-specific supplies. Come for one Sew-mester or keep going! Each month gives you another opportunity to strengthen your skills, tackle a new project and become a more confident sewist. Choose Your Sewing Level Absolute Beginner — Decorative Pillow ½ yard cotton fabric 12 oz. package Poly-Fil Beginner 2.0 — Simple Shirt or Simple Skirt Simple Shirt: 1 yard stretch knit Simple Skirt: 1 yard cotton or knit Beginner 3.0 — Skater/Circle Skirt 1½–2 yards fabric for a short skirt; purchase additional fabric for a longer length 1 package elastic or zipper, 9" or longer Intermediate — Peplum Top 1½–2 yards medium- to heavyweight knit such as scuba or ponte Bring a fitted knit top you already own to use as your pattern Advanced — Athleisure Set or Sewing With a Pattern Athleisure Set: 4–5 yards knit/athleisure stretch fabric OR bring a commercial sewing pattern for your selected project. Attendance & Registration Because Saturday Sew-mester is a limited-seat, 3-week series, registration is nonrefundable. Please make sure you're able to attend before registering. Missed classes cannot be made up during another Saturday Sew-mester session. Students who would like additional time or help catching up may book an Individual Sewing Session.

Cancellation Policy
CONSULTATIONS All consultation deposits are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before booking. There is a $10 non-refundable reschedule fee, if rescheduled at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance require re-booking & payment of consultation fee. CLASSES All class fees are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before signing up. The fee for each class must be paid at sign-up to secure your spot in the class. There is a class minimum of two students. If we do not reach the minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to the class. Class registration ends 24 hours prior to class. No exceptions can be made to this policy. Be sure to mark your calendar with the date your class is scheduled to begin. Sewing S'cool will not send out additional reminders before your class starts. Unfortunately, due to our busy classroom schedule, we do not have the ability to offer make-up classes. If you miss a class meeting you may choose to schedule a private lesson for $55 with your instructor to catch up on the class. General: We keep our classes small and they do fill quickly. All classes take place at RL & Co Studios, 2804 E. 55th Place, Suite Q, in Indianapolis, IN. If you have any questions feel free to give Sewing S'cool a call at 317-759-3144 WORKSHOP POLICIES: All projects are made using a sewing machine. Open to anyone ages 8 and over This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during workshop time. All workshop registrations fees are not refundable or transferable for cancellations or non-attendance.
