🎓 Welcome to 2nd Sew-mester! You learned the basics. Now let’s make something you can WEAR! ✂️🧵 2nd Sew-mester is the next step in Sewing S’cool for students who have completed all four courses in the 1st Sew-mester Series and are ready to take their sewing skills to the next level. This series is all about wearable projects! Students will build confidence using the sewing skills they’ve already learned while being introduced to new techniques, including working with stretch fabrics, elastic, garment construction and more. Each month, we’ll focus on one wearable project over four weeks, giving students time to learn the process from beginning to finished garment — without rushing through it. The more months you take, the more you make — and the stronger your sewing skills become! 🧵 How 2nd Sew-mester Works Ages: 10+ Thursdays: 6:00–7:30 p.m. Course Length: 4 weeks Class Size: Only 10 students Experience Required: Completion of all four 1st Sew-mester courses Sewing machines, basic sewing tools, and black and white thread are provided. Students provide the fabric and project-specific supplies listed below. ✨ 2nd Sew-mester Projects SEPTEMBER — Simple Shirt Learn the basics of sewing with stretch fabric while creating a simple, wearable top. Supply: 1 yard stretch fabric OCTOBER — Simple Skirt Create a comfortable elastic-waist skirt while practicing garment construction and finishing techniques. Supplies: 1 yard cotton OR stretch fabric 1 package 1-inch-wide elastic NOVEMBER — Lounge Pants Take your skills a step further with a pair of comfy lounge pants you can actually wear! Supplies: 3 yards cotton OR stretch fabric 1 package 1-inch-wide elastic DECEMBER — Duster Finish the year with a stylish layering piece and another opportunity to strengthen your garment-sewing skills. Supplies: Long — 3 yards Midi — 2 yards Short — 1 yard 🌟 Keep Going! Students are encouraged to enroll in additional months of 2nd Sew-mester. Each new project gives you another opportunity to practice your skills, learn new techniques and become a more confident, independent sewist. The goal isn’t just to finish a project — it’s to learn how to SEW. Class Policies No Refunds: Registration is nonrefundable. Please make sure you are able to commit to the four-week course before registering. Refunds will not be issued for missed classes or no-shows. Missed Classes: Make-up classes are not available as part of the course. Students who would like additional help

Cancellation Policy
CONSULTATIONS All consultation deposits are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before booking. There is a $10 non-refundable reschedule fee, if rescheduled at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance require re-booking & payment of consultation fee. CLASSES All class fees are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before signing up. The fee for each class must be paid at sign-up to secure your spot in the class. There is a class minimum of two students. If we do not reach the minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to the class. Class registration ends 24 hours prior to class. No exceptions can be made to this policy. Be sure to mark your calendar with the date your class is scheduled to begin. Sewing S'cool will not send out additional reminders before your class starts. Unfortunately, due to our busy classroom schedule, we do not have the ability to offer make-up classes. If you miss a class meeting you may choose to schedule a private lesson for $55 with your instructor to catch up on the class. General: We keep our classes small and they do fill quickly. All classes take place at RL & Co Studios, 2804 E. 55th Place, Suite Q, in Indianapolis, IN. Open to anyone ages 8 and over This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during workshop time. All workshop registrations fees are not refundable or transferable for cancellations or non-attendance.
