Welcome to STITCH LAB From First Sketch to Last Stitch You know how to sew. Now let’s create! STITCH LAB is an ongoing sewing experience for students who already have basic sewing skills and are ready to explore what comes next. Your project. Your pace. My guidance. Unlike a traditional sewing class where everyone works on the same project, STITCH LAB is built around what YOU want to learn. Bring your ideas, projects and sewing goals, and receive hands-on instruction while developing new skills and becoming a more confident, independent sewist. Want to learn how to alter and fit clothes you already own? Let’s do it. Ready to create a garment you’ve been imagining? Bring your idea. Want to tackle a commercial pattern, improve your construction skills, learn basic patternmaking or try a sewing technique you haven’t mastered yet? You’re in the right place. Depending on your goals, your STITCH LAB experience may include: - Alterations and garment fitting - Clothing construction - Commercial patterns and pattern modifications - Basic patternmaking - Fabric selection and working with different fabrics - Measurements and dress forms - Fashion design and sketching - New sewing and finishing techniques - And SEW much more! Who Can Join? STITCH LAB is for students ages 14 and older—YES, adults too! Students must already have basic sewing skills and be able to independently operate a sewing machine. Sewing basics and machine operation are not taught in STITCH LAB. New to sewing? Start with our Sewing S’cool Beginner Basics experience before moving into our more advanced classes. Class Details Fridays | 6:00–7:30 p.m. 4-week series Designed to be attended throughout the year as your skills and projects grow. Sewing machines, basic tools, and black and white thread are provided. Students provide the fabric, notions and specialty supplies needed for their individual projects. Your supply list will be determined based on what you choose to work on. Come with an idea. Come with a project. Come ready to learn. We’ll take it from first sketch to last stitch. Registration Policies All registrations are non-refundable. Please make sure you are able to attend before registering. Make-up classes are not available for missed STITCH LAB sessions. Students who would like additional instruction or time to complete a project may book an Individual Sewing Session. We look forward to creating something beautiful with you!

Cancellation Policy
CONSULTATIONS All consultation deposits are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before booking. There is a $10 non-refundable reschedule fee, if rescheduled at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Cancellations or rescheduling less than 48 hours in advance require re-booking & payment of consultation fee. CLASSES All class fees are non-refundable. Please make sure the date works for you before signing up. The fee for each class must be paid at sign-up to secure your spot in the class. There is a class minimum of two students. If we do not reach the minimum, we will notify you at least 24 hours prior to the class. Class registration ends 24 hours prior to class. No exceptions can be made to this policy. Be sure to mark your calendar with the date your class is scheduled to begin. Sewing S'cool will not send out additional reminders before your class starts. Unfortunately, due to our busy classroom schedule, we do not have the ability to offer make-up classes. If you miss a class meeting you may choose to schedule a private lesson for $55 with your instructor to catch up on the class. General: We keep our classes small and they do fill quickly. All classes take place at RL & Co Studios, 2804 E. 55th Place, Suite Q, in Indianapolis, IN. If you have any questions feel free to give Sewing S'cool a call at 317-759-3144 WORKSHOP POLICIES: All projects are made using a sewing machine. Open to anyone ages 8 and over This is a strictly drop-off type of activity. Only enrolled students are allowed in the studio during workshop time. All workshop registrations fees are not refundable or transferable for cancellations or non-attendance.
